198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and Photofusion

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and Photofusion work together to offer adult learning provision in the visual arts in Lambeth. 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning works with artists and curators to deliver exhibitions and events as part of our artistic programme, education and employability courses, workspaces and affordable space for hire. Photofusion specialises in training, support and career progression in photography, covering analogue, digital and the moving image.

Baytree Centre

The Baytree Centre is a social inclusion charity for women and girls located in the heart of Brixton.  It offers ESOL classes from beginners to Entry Level 3 in a safe, supporting and welcoming all-female space.

Baytree inspires women to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive in life, work and family.  In addition to their ESOL courses, women also benefit from a whole host of other services including one-to-one coaching, Information, Advice and Guidance, and workshops across the five pillars of the Baytree Bridge – Education (ESOL, Literacy, Everyday Digital Skills), Employment (CV building, interview practice, job search, work experience), Family (relationships with children, housing, mother and children activities), Financial Literacy and Wellbeing (Zumba, Yoga, creative arts for wellbeing).

High Trees

High Trees runs an exciting variety of free courses, including ICT/digital skills, Functional Skills English and Maths, ESOL classes, Family Learning, Art and Wellbeing and Community Organising courses.  Accredited and non-accredited courses range from basic skills that help with employment or build skills for everyday life, to specialised accredited courses that provide routes into new areas such as community action. Courses are run in a supportive environment to provide learners with the best guidance about opportunities for volunteering, accessing further or higher education and training and your next steps.

IRMO

IRMO supports the development, agency and participation of Latin Americans and other Spanish and Portuguese speakers in Lambeth.

It offers high-quality information and advice services, opportunities for development and training and one-to-one advice on a range of issues such as immigration and housing. It has a comprehensive programme of education, training and employment support including a range of activities aimed at improving learners’ social and cultural integration in the UK.

MI Skills Development Centre (MISDC) is a voluntary organisation providing education, training, advice and support to disadvantaged individuals and community groups. It’s mission is to transform lives through learning that improves the long-term career, employability and health of learners and the sustainability of small and medium businesses.

Train2Work Academy is a voluntary not-for-profit, community-based training improving skills for work and learning. Its mission is ‘equipping learners with the knowledge and training required to stand on their own feet, get back to work or to further their careers.’

Train2Work specialises in training short courses: Functional Skills (Entry 1 to Level 2) in Mathematics, ICT, ESOL, Employability Training, Essential Digital Skills, CSCS Level 1 in Health & Safety in Construction and CIBT CSCS training and Food Safety in Catering Level II.
