OurBike

OurBike is part of the council’s Big Shift programme, a series of projects and initiatives that support residents and businesses to travel sustainably.

The community electric cargo bike share scheme enables residents and businesses to hire an electric cargo bike by the hour.

They can be used by residents to go shopping, take their kids to the park, or by local businesses who want an easy and sustainable way to make deliveries to nearby customers.

Lambeth residents and businesses get free OurBike minutes when you sign up:

  • new resident sign-ups get 60 minutes free. Rental then costs 75p per 15 minutes.
  • new business sign-ups get 180 minutes free. Rental then costs 75p per 15 minutes.

Bike hosts

The bikes are hosted by our local businesses, who:

  • ensure that the battery remains charged, and
  • keep an eye on the bikes which are locked up outside of their premises
