Sign up for free cycle training

We offer free one-to-one training sessions to improve your confidence when cycling on the road.

Lambeth Council works in partnership with Cycle Confident to provide cycle training initiatives for people who live, work or study in the borough.

These services include Bikeability in schools, holiday courses for children, one-to-one and group cycle skills for adults.

If you do not have access to a bicycle, we have adult and children’s bikes to borrow for cycle training sessions.

Book your cycle training session

  • Family - If you have children and want to learn how to ride safely together, you could take a family riding course.
  • Children - We also give children skills and confidence to ride safely on the road with cycle training in schools.

Availability is subject to funding, which means that not all courses are available at all times.

You don’t even need to leave the house to brush up on your cycle skills. Get handy tips on cycling with this online course by TfL where you will learn:

  • Tips to get you and your bike prepared for the road
  • How to start cycling on the road safely and responsibly
  • Tips to brush up on your cycling skills
  • How to cycle in a group with children.
