UK Parliamentary General Election 4 July 2024

A general election took place on Thursday 4 July 2024

You must be registered to vote at elections. 

All registered British, Irish and qualifying Commonwealth citizens aged 18 or over on the day of the election can vote at UK Parliamentary General elections. This includes British citizens living overseas. 

The deadline to register to vote in the UK Parliamentary General Election was midnight on Tuesday 18 June.

If you're already registered to vote, you do not need to register again.

If you’ve recently moved house, you may still be registered to vote at your previous address. You should ask your previous local authority about the status of your electoral registration.
