Equalities Work

Equalities Work will use the grant to expand its Rights, Camera, Action! project, supporting 400 young people aged 14 to 18 in North Lambeth over 2 years.

The funding will enable 40 creative workshops focused on filmmaking and photography, using social justice themes such as climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, and disability inclusion as inspiration.

Participants will receive mentoring from a professional filmmaker, take part in work experience placements with local creative employers, and visit key cultural venues including the Cinema Museum and Photofusion.

The grant will also fund annual public exhibitions at The Foundry in Vauxhall, to showcase the young people’s work.

This project aims to provide practical skills, industry insight, and creative confidence, helping local young people - especially those facing barriers - access opportunities in Lambeth’s growing arts and media sectors.
