The Council are seeking views to help understand from Lambeth’s Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) what support needs should look like to meet future challenges. We want to identify how we provide support and resources that will add value to the work of the VCS, and importantly strengthen the delivery of shared partnership goals i.e. Lambeth 2030 Plan and VCS Strategy. The Black Lives Matter protests during 2020 led to new momentum behind long-standing concerns about statues, memorials and street names with associations with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.  This is a community conversation, together we want to develop proposals on how to deal with this difficult aspect of our history.
