Have your say on our draft revised list of Local Information Requirements (the Local List)

Purpose / Background

Applications for planning permission and other application types determined by the Local Planning Authority need to comply with several procedural requirements, including completion of an application form and payment of the correct fee.  Applications must comply with various national level requirements to supply information, such as plans and drawings and land ownership information and, for some application types, a design and access statement. A Local Planning Authority (LPA) may request additional supporting information with a planning application according to its list of local information requirements, also referred to as ‘the Local List’.

Lambeth’s current list of local information requirements, which was adopted in July 2016, is available on the Council’s website here.  Officers have reviewed the adopted Local List in the light of current national, London-wide and Borough level planning policies and propose several revisions to the Local List.

The draft revised Local List is set out in two parts:

Table 1 - contains a list of different categories of information with a cross-reference to the types of application

Table 2 - contains a summary of the information requirements for different applications

The key policy drivers from which the proposed draft local information requirements arise are contained in the adopted Lambeth Local Plan (2021) and the London Plan (2021). Specific policies in the Lambeth Local Plan and the London Plan and other sources of information that underpin the various draft revised list of local information requirements are identified in the ‘Justification/Policy drivers’ column of Table 1.

We want to hear from all relevant stakeholders including residents, businesses, neighbourhood forums, planning agents, internal consultees, all ward Councillors, statutory consultees and amenity groups.

Next steps after the consultation closes

Your feedback will be reviewed and used to inform any amendments to the draft revised Local List. This will be the only opportunity to comment on the draft revised Local list before it is finalised.
