How your rights are affected by a TMO
Neither tenancy rights nor stock (the property the tenant lives in) ownership are affected by us delegating housing management responsibilities to Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs).
Tenants who live on TMO-managed estates still have the same rights as if their property was managed by the council, such as:
- security of tenure
- right to exchange
- right to buy
- right to repair
- rent levels set as for other council tenants.
For leaseholders, the lease stays the same so you have the same rights and obligations.
