Lambeth Bee Roads near you
We will be taking a range of approaches to test different methods for increasing biodiversity in roadside spaces.
In some sites, we will strip off high-fertility grass and soil before seeding wildflowers into an imported low-fertility substrate. In others, we will change the way we manage grass-cutting to help more flowers to grow.
New rain gardens will also be created to temporarily hold rainwater from rooftops, which will reduce the risk of flooding and provide new wildlife habitats.
