We collect small electrical items and batteries from kerbside properties as part of your rubbish and recycling collection. This service is only available for
- properties that have a wheelie bin
- items that are at the end of their usable life
You should prioritise reusing items with life still in them, or donating them to charity shops like Community TechAid or Freegle.
We are currently unable to provide this service if you live in a block of flats or housing estate with a communal rubbish bin. Instead, you can take your electrical and battery waste items to:
- Vale Street Reuse and Recycling Centre in West Norwood
- Smugglers Way Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Wandsworth, or
- your nearest electrical recycling point found on the Recycle Your Electricals website
E-scooter or bike batteries
We are currently unable to take e-scooter or bike batteries, please dispose of these safely in one of the listed areas below to prevent risk of fires.
These are not accepted at our Reuse and Recycling Centres. Please either return to the manufacturer or seller, or drop it off at one of the following locations:
- Halfords (Brixton) - Unit B Effra Rd, Brixton, SW2 1BZ
- Evans Cycles (Clapham) - Unit 2, 65 Clapham High St, London SW4 7TG (limited space)
- Decathlon (Surrey Quays) - 9 Maritime Street, London, SE16 7FU
