Published in January 2023, our ground-breaking new Kerbside Strategy is one of the first of its kind in the UK. The strategy sets out our ambitious plans to transform 25% of our kerbside space into places for people, and not just cars.
Our kerbside space would stretch from London to Edinburgh if you lined it up, and almost 94% of that space is currently used to provide and manage car parking. That’s not fair or sustainable, especially when 3 out 5 households don’t even own a car.
