Lambeth Council are delighted to be working with Pegasus Opera Company this year to commission an anthem for the Windrush 2021 celebrations.
Pegasus Opera Company have worked with schools, youth and community groups in Lambeth for over 20 years.
The Windrush anthem, Rush, has been produced by renowned composer Des Oliver and is created as a lasting commemoration for Windrush.
The anthem premiere will be screened at Brixton Village and on the Pegasus YouTube channel at 2.00pm on 22 June, with Pegasus Community Choir and Lambeth residents singing the anthem.
The song has also been distributed to all Lambeth schools for pupils to learn for future performances.
