Expenditure over £500
The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 sets out key principles for local authorities to create greater transparency through the publication of public data. It outlines the minimum requirements for local authorities to publish open data for re-use and in a timely way.
This Code is issued to meet the government’s desire to place more power into citizens’ hands to increase democratic accountability and make it easier for local people to contribute to the local decision-making process and help shape public services.
We publish quarterly reports describing the majority of our spending decisions over £500 for payments made in the previous Quarter.
To protect vulnerable residents, we have decided not to include payments to people who receive direct payments for social care, or payments to people who provide care.
This is mandatory information that is a requirement under the 2015 Local Government Transparency Code. If you would like more information, you can submit a Freedom of Information request.
These reports are CSV or XLS files. They will open in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs and are machine-readable

The Council changed its financial system to Oracle Cloud on 1 April 2018 and we have developed improved reports for publishing over £500 spend data on the new system. However during Q1 and in July 2018 as we transitioned some payments continued to be made on the old One Oracle system. As a result in Q1 two different reports, from the old and new system, have been brought together to publish this information resulting in some differences in columns presented. This does not impact the validity of the data provided and will be present in Q1 and Q2 over £500 publications this year but not thereafter.
