Lambeth Council aims to increase canopy cover across the borough and aim to plant 5000 trees between 2022 and 2026. Regrettably though, there are instances where we need to fell trees. Most street trees are felled because they are dead, irreparably damaged (for example by vehicle collisions) or decaying to the point where they are structurally unsound. Lambeth Council and Wandsworth Council are working together to explore the potential of Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea’s Victorian railway viaduct and arches. A website has been set up to share project updates and ways to get involved, gather ideas, concerns and success stories relating to the viaduct. The consultation is open from 6 June to 4 July 2022.

We want your views on our proposal to convert our existing North Area Housing Office into a local community hub that allows residents to access a group of services, advice and support in one location. The consultation runs from 13th July 2021 to 9th August 2021.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) has decided to hold a period of further limited consultation in five proposed new wards, Clapham Common, Stockwell East and Landor, West Norwood, Gipsy Hill, and West Dulwich and St Martin’s wards.
