Lambeth Council aims to increase canopy cover across the borough and aim to plant 5000 trees between 2022 and 2026. Regrettably though, there are instances where we need to fell trees. Most street trees are felled because they are dead, irreparably damaged (for example by vehicle collisions) or decaying to the point where they are structurally unsound. The Council and the Integrated Care Board (NHS) are collecting information to improve support provided to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are interested in parent/carers/families views on support across all of education, health and social care for children and young people from birth up to 25 years. The Black Lives Matter protests during 2020 led to new momentum behind long-standing concerns about statues, memorials and street names with associations with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.  This is a community conversation, together we want to develop proposals on how to deal with this difficult aspect of our history. We would like to hear your views by taking comments on our Commonplace site. The consultation is open from 9 March to 31 May 2022.
