Many Lambeth residents face barriers to digital access which can effect their daily lives, such as:
- lack of affordable internet
- insufficient digital skills
- limited access to devices
Digital inclusion focuses on providing access to the internet, digital devices, and the necessary training to use both.
We want to ensure Lambeth residents have the digital skills and tools they need to thrive. We work with local organisations to provide:
- digital skills training to help residents use online services
- referrals for free digital devices and data for internet access
- support for residents facing digital literacy challenges
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to get online safely and confidently.
Since our initial response to digital access during Covid-19, we collaborated with schools, voluntary and community sector groups, and private sector partners to identify needs, secure digital equipment, and distribute it to those most affected. Despite these efforts, demand for digital access continues to exceed the available support.
