Trailing cables and channels
We do not permit cables to be dragged across the pavement in any circumstance. This includes the use of cable protectors or cable gullies.
This policy has been adopted through the electric vehicle strategy, on the grounds of accessibility and equity.
The council will be looking to enforce against instances of this under the Highways Act. A fixed penalty notice could be issued if repeated wilful obstruction of the highway occurs.
