We are committed to keeping you, your family and your home safe. We want to work with you to create estates and communities where people feel safe to live.
In partnership with the London Fire Brigade (LFB), we regularly review and update the current fire risk assessment procedure. This ensures it follows the LFB's most up-to-date practice.
If you're a Lambeth Housing leaseholder, you can find out what your responsibilities are for fire safety in the fire safety guide for leaseholders.
Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEP)
A Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is a plan designed to help anyone who might need support to safely leave the building in an emergency, such as a fire. It’s for residents who may have mobility issues, visual or hearing impairments, medical conditions, or other needs that could make evacuation difficult without assistance.
PEEPs are tailored to the individual and explain
- What kind of help you might need
- Who will help you
- The safest way for you to exit the building
You can request a long-term PEEP if you have a permanent condition, or a short-term PEEP if your need for help is temporary—such as after surgery or during pregnancy.
If you think you might need assistance in an emergency, please let us know so we can work with you to put a plan in place that keeps you safe. If you would like to request an assessment for a PEEP, please contact your Neighbourhood Housing Officer or contact us on 020 7926 6000.

Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR)
As part of our commitment to building safety and compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, we have introduced a clear and transparent Mandatory Occurrence Reporting process for our higher-risk buildings (HRBs).
This ensures that serious safety concerns are promptly reported, investigated and acted upon. Our approach places resident safety at the centre of our building management practices.
