Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)

Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) are issued either on the street by our Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) or by CCTV camera.

Parking PCNs

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are issued on a system of Band A and Band B roads.

  • Band A roads - These are roads north of the South Circular (A205) and all roads in Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs).
  • Band B roads - These are roads south of the South Circular that are not in CPZs.

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are charged at a higher and lower rate depending on the seriousness of the offence. The higher charge applies to offences associated with prohibited and dangerous parking, such as double parking. The lower charge applies to all other offences, such as overstays in a Pay for parking bay.
