Scam warning: Fake parking fine text messages
We've been made aware of a rise in scam text messages falsely claiming you have an outstanding Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to pay. These messages are designed to trick you into clicking on malicious links that lead to fake websites, aiming to steal your personal details or money.

If you receive a text message asking for payment for a parking fine:

- Delete the message immediately after reporting it.
What to do if you receive a scam text
- Report it: Forward the message to the National Cyber Security Centre on 7726. This free service allows your provider to investigate and block malicious numbers.
