Neighbourhood planning

Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area.

South Bank and Waterloo

Redesignation of the Neighbourhood Forum

On 9 December 2025, the Council approved the decision to re-designate the South Bank and Waterloo Neighbourhood Forum as the neighbourhood forum for the South Bank and Waterloo neighbourhood area. The Council formally consulted on the neighbourhood forum’s application for re-designation for a period of 12 weeks, from Monday 28 July to Tuesday 21 October 2025.

Once a neighbourhood forum is designated a designation lasts for 5 years. No other organisation or body may be designated for that neighbourhood area until that designation expires or is withdrawn.

A copy of the neighbourhood forum’s application which includes its constitution (see appendix A) is available on the Council’s democratic services pages.
