The secure cycle parking project will create 1000 cycle hangar spaces on Lambeth streets and roads, giving people who don't have access to a secure space inside their own home a safe place to keep their bikes.
The project has a target of delivering 1000 cycle hangar spaces over the next 4 years at a total cost of £630,000. The project has received £350,000 of funding from the Transport for London Local Implementation Plan fund for the 2018/19 Financial Year. This will fund the installation of 78 cycle hangars. Other funding avenues are also being explored.
The hangars and proposed cycle hangar sites are located throughout numerous Lambeth wards.
