Protecting the local environment
We expect that most households will continue to manage their waste effectively. However, some may find it more difficult to adjust at first.
In the run-up to making the change, we’ll supply all households with advice on recycling as much as they can.
After making the change, our crews will report when people have more rubbish than will fit in their bin, or where they’ve put rubbish in their recycling bin.
Outreach Officers will visit those households to help them manage their waste. We’ll also be proactively monitoring for any dumped rubbish, and an education and enforcement campaign will be aimed at fly-tipping to help keep our streets clean and tidy.
