Lambeth Health Determinants Research Collaboration

Lambeth Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) is part of a national programme funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

Our mission is to reduce health inequalities in Lambeth by strengthening how we use research, data and lived experience to inform local decision-making.

We want to understand the factors that shape people’s health and wellbeing across the borough, like housing, income, education and experiences of discrimination.

We work with other council teams, academic partners, local organisations and members of the community to:

  • understand what influences health and wellbeing
  • support community-led and participatory research
  • generate high-quality evidence with academic and community partners
  • build skills and confidence to understand and use research in practice
  • use insights to design better and fairer services

Health Determinants Research Collaboration Lambeth is part of Lambeth Council and is funded by the NIHR.
