The borough-wide Lambeth Parent Champion programme was set up in March 2022, building on the work of the Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP) Parent Champion programme. The programme became a core strand of Lambeth’s Start for Life Family Hub programme in 2022, and the Best Start in Life offer in 2025.
Since then, we have trained over 50 local parents and carers to become Parent Champion volunteers to help bring about positive change for families in Lambeth.
In a year, each Lambeth Parent Champion reaches an average of 335 parents every month — sharing early years information both in person and online.
