Introduction to Clapham Common

At over 85 hectares in size, Clapham Common is one of London’s largest, and oldest, public open spaces, situated between Clapham, Battersea and Balham.

Hillside Gardens Park is a medium-sized but popular park situated between Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill.

Kennington Park is large and attractive Victorian-era public park, with winding paths and numerous mature trees, helping create a graceful, historic yet peaceful atmosphere.

Palace Road Nature Garden is based on the site of two large houses and their gardens, at 34 and 36 Palace Road, which were demolished in the 1980s.

St. Mary's Gardens is a small open space in Waterloo and within easy travelling distance of Westminster, Albert Embankment and the South Bank.

The Rookery is an attractive formal garden located between Streatham, Norbury and West Norwood. It is almost enveloped by Streatham Common, one of Lambeth's largest open spaces.
