Fortem Solutions

Message from our Managing Director - At Fortem, transforming lives and communities is at the heart of what we do, and we are delighted to work with Lambeth Council to deliver our social value commitments and meet the needs of the community. Our aim is to make a real difference to people’s lives by providing the best service possible when caring for customer’s properties, looking after our people and enabling our clients to serve their communities in the most effective way.

Social Value Events so far:

Lilian Baylis Technology School - We were invited by the careers lead to attend the Careers Fair and Open Evening hosted by Lilian Baylis Technology School on Thursday 14 October. Around 300 people attended the event and we engaged with approximately 100, of whom 14 have now expressed an interest in work experience and possible future careers. This is in progress and our long-term view is to recruit apprentices.

Cotton Gardens Estate - On Wednesday 20 October, we offered a maintenance action day at Cotton Gardens Estate. Several operatives from Fortem and volunteers attended, and they provided a combination of litter picking and a repairs service with additional services for elderly and vulnerable tenants. The day was well publicised in advance by the housing team.

As part of our commitment to Lambeth, we are proud to confirm our financial contribution to the Social Value Fund which will be used to fund social and environmental initiatives and improve equality within Lambeth.

Job opportunities - Each Monday morning, Fortem inform Lambeth Council with details of any opportunities which are live on our website either on your contract or on our other contracts which may be commutable from the borough and suitable for Lambeth residents. Opportunities so far have included trade opportunities and 10 new contact centre agents.
