Lambeth Direct Cremation

Lambeth Direct Cremation is a simple, unattended cremation service provided by our Bereavement Services team at Lambeth Crematorium. 

 It offers an alternative to a traditional funeral. Family and friends can arrange their own memorial or celebration of life separately if they wish. 

This service does not include a funeral or memorial service. 

What's included 

The service includes: 

• collection and care of the deceased
• arrangement of the cremation, with the date and time set by the Bereavement Services team
• a coffin suitable for cremation
• completion of statutory medical paperwork, where required
• collection of the ashes or scattering within the crematorium grounds by appointment 

What’s not included 

This is an unattended service. Family and friends cannot attend the cremation. 

The offer does not include: 

• a funeral or use of the chapel
• viewing of the deceased including dressing or hygienic treatment
• webcasting or music
• additional services 

The deceased will remain in our care and cannot be transferred elsewhere.
