Learning disability register and annual health checks

Anyone aged 14 or over who's on their GP's learning disability register can have a free health check once a year. They help young people stay well by talking about health issues, spotting problems early and getting the right care in place.

How to get a health check

GPs should invite young people for an annual health check from the age of 14. They just need to get their name on the learning disability register for their GP practice or health centre.

Some GP surgeries don't have to offer this service. If they don’t, the community learning disability team can help arrange one.

Lambeth's Disability Register and the Lambeth Liberty Card
