Learning disability register and annual health checks
Anyone aged 14 or over who's on their GP's learning disability register can have a free health check once a year.
Health checks help young people stay well by talking about health issues, spotting problems early and getting the right care in place.

How to get a health check
GPs should invite young people for an annual health check starting at age 14. To be eligible, simply ensure that your child's name is on the learning disability register at their GP practice or health centre.
Some GP surgeries may not provide this service. If your surgery doesn’t, the community learning disability team can help you arrange an appointment.
