National resources

  • National Autistic Society - a national charity providing advice, guidance and information on autism.
  • Autism Education Trust - a not-for-profit organisation, led by the National Autistic Society and Ambitious about Autism, and supported by the Department for Education.
  • Ambitious about Autism - a national charity with a focus on training, education and employment for autistic young people.
  • Autistica - a charity with a focus on research and campaigning.
  • Autism Central - for parents and carers, aiming to make it easier to learn more about autism and services available.
  • Autism Understood - website about autism, for autistic young people.
  • Kooth - wellbeing support for young people.
  • Family Action - supports parents and carers of children and young people with SEND to know their rights and entitlements, and how to find local support services available.

Local resources

  • National Autistic Society (NAS) – Lambeth branch - a group of autistic people and parent carer volunteers who are passionate about supporting people of all ages with autism. Their focus is on providing information, advice, and support to autistic children, young people, and adults in Lambeth. 
  • NAS Lambeth Family Support - a commissioned service provided by the National Autistic Society for the boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth providing post-diagnostic support to parents/carers of diagnosed children under 18 years.
  • Lambeth Parents Forum - a group of parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities aged 0 to 25 in the London Borough of Lambeth.  
  • Lambeth Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) - provides free, impartial and confidential information about education, health and social care for children, young people, and their parents relating to special educational needs and disabilities. 
  • Autism Voice - a registered charity working to enhance the health and well-being of people (children and adults) with autism and/or learning disabilities and their families from mainly Global Majority Communities.
  • A2ndvoice - supporting Autistic People and Families Based in London.
  • Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organization (IRMO) - works to enable the development, agency, and participation of Latin Americans and other Spanish and Portuguese speakers, by responding to both immediate needs and structural inequalities.
