Support with mental health

Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)

Lambeth child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) are provided by the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

CAMHS provides services to children, young people and families that live in Lambeth, supporting them to navigate the difficulties that come up when someone is dealing with mental health and wellbeing issues.

Services are based at several sites within the community across the borough.

Every child has a right to be healthy. This includes emotional and mental health. CAMHS aims to deliver a safe, effective and responsive service where children, young people and their families are treated with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Lambeth Mental Health Support Team (MHST)

Lambeth Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is an early intervention service for children and young people in Lambeth aged 5 to 18 years old who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues. It can help with issues such as exam stress, behaviours that challenge, low mood, anxiety, and friendship issues. It can also help those with more severe needs to access the right support.

Lambeth MHST has three main roles:
•    One to one guided self-help;
•    Whole School Approach;
•    Signposting to other services.
